Instructions for joining the forum:

We strongly encourage that all club members use their legitimate school e-mail addresses when signing up for the forum. We do not sell these e-mails to any third parties or hand their over to spammers, so you needn't worry. To register, please visit the forums by following the link above. Once there, click on the "Register" icon at the top. If you sign up using a valid school account (ending in either wisc.edu or matcmadison.edu ), you will be sent an activation e-mail and will be able to have you account fully functional within seconds! If you choose not to use a school e-mail address, your account will remain "deactivated" until one of the Anime Club officers can activate it (this can take some time--so we strongly encourage you to use your school e-mail). Please understand that we do this to help prevent spammers. If you must insist on using a non-school e-mail, first register an account on our forums, and then bring a sheet of paper with your username written down to Anime Club on Saturday and give it to a club officer (e.g. the club president). We will then be able to activate your account.

Notes about the forums

You have to register on the forums to gain full access to them. Without registering, you will only be able to see the four "public" forums: Introductions, Information, Reservations, and Problem forums. There are, in fact, ten more forums that are reserved for registered members only that you miss out on without an account. As a forum member, you can reap all the limitless benefits of our forums!

Rules

The most current copy of the rules and guidelines for conduct on the forums can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section. However, we have archived a copy of these rules below. Rules and Bylaws of how our club is run are found in the Official Charter.

  1. Don' t post hentai. Off-hand references to hentai are OK (e.g. "Hey, is G-on Riders porn or not?" ), but pictures are not, and disturbing Harry Potter fanfics will get you--well, you'd best not post your real name anywhere.
  2. Do not ask for, distribute, or talk about illegal files (fansubs or copies of liscensed anime). If you want to know if a series has been liscensed, just ask or go to www.animeondvd.com and look up their liscensing list.
  3. To see the whole forum, you must register with a wisc.edu or matcmadison.edu e-mail account, otherwise write your name on the sign-up list at a club meeting.
  4. These rules can be changed or appended by the Anime Club administration at any time.
